My Angora goat, Lucy, and her boyfriend-on-lease, Louie, arrived today. I don’t think anybody was happier than Tierra to see them arrive, although at first she certainly didn’t show it. When they first put Lucy in the pen with Tierra, Tierra took off running like a gazelle around the pen. She had NO idea what Lucy was. Poor Lucy just stood there and cried, sounding and looking for all the world just like a sheep. She was much happier once Louie joined her. He’s on lease until spring, and his sole reason for being here is to breed Lucy when she comes into heat over the next few months. 
Tierra is much happier now that she has some friends. Hence the smile.
